An oil and gas refinery in the Gulf States region manages a portfolio of multiple, simultaneous small cap projects.

The Challenge: 

On the project, scaffold was being erected with only pipe fitters consulted. Then when structural steel was mobilized for the same pipe rack, it was one and a half inch too high. Both crews had to stand down for rework and the project team lost three full schedule days to address the issue.

The Solution: 

O3’s ONBuild solution was introduced to create a master index of packages across areas to identify “shared” packages. Each planner coordinates across interdependent IWPs and captures all requirements and constraints in advance.
