Role Description
The Business Analyst is responsible for working with users and key project stakeholders to understand user needs, clearly define business requirements, and test potential solutions.
Areas of Responsibility
- Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, the Business Analyst shall:
- Meet with customers to understand pain points and opportunities to improve key processes including gap analysis.
- Gather key requirements for requested enhancements.
- Conduct user research and testing to evaluate potential solutions.
- Understand and document the value of key requests.
- Develop user stories for product enhancements.
- Test developed features to ensure they meet the needs of users.
- Ensure successful implementation and adoption of released features with each appropriate client
- Contribute to a library of key product visuals (images, gifs, and videos)
- Participate in regular strategy meetings including quarterly roadmap discussion, yearly Product Planning, weekly backlog grooming, and weekly backlog pre-grooming
- Facilitate internal team and customer meetings effectively.
Skills
- Strong analytical and prioritization skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong familiarity with agile development
- Must display great attention to detail
- Comfortable making presentations and facilitating meetings
- Industrial Construction experience preferred, knowledge of Advanced Work Packaging methodology a plus
Knowledge & Experience
- 3 years of relevant work experience as a Business Analyst or related role is preferred
Demonstrated ability to conduct research and incorporate feedback - Experience with Business Process and Workflow Modeling tools (e.g. Visio)
- MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP) a plus
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
- Ability to work on multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to travel up to 20% (On-site feedback, research, conferences)
- Ability to operate in a fast-moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines
- Ability to work flexible hours to support overseas projects, as needed
