O3 Solutions is pleased to announce that Andrew Foy is joining the O3 team as Director of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and Construction Excellence.  O3 is committed to having the most AWP knowledgeable team in the construction technology market and the addition of Andrew Foy is a great step in supporting that commitment.

Andrew is originally from England, where he studied Mechanical Engineering. He moved to Canada in 2005 and spent ten years working as a Project Manager for general contractors in the Oil and Gas sector, running multi-discipline projects throughout Alberta. 

He started his full-time dedicated AWP journey in 2015 when he was hired to establish a grass-roots AWP program for Williams Canada, to be used on the multi-billion dollar Alberta PDH project. In the last four years, since transferring to the US, he has established and executed AWP programs from the ground up for both Tesoro and Motiva. This included creating company-wide processes, policies, and systems to support AWP, as well as working with a range of contractors to implement AWP on active projects. 

Andrew was hired in 2018 to lead AWP adoption for Motiva’s Major Projects Organization (MPO). He created a fully integrated system to support three multi-billion dollar chemical projects and worked with contractors in the US and Europe to align the requirements and understand the benefits of implementing AWP.

In the last year, he has applied his Project Management and AWP expertise to provide Project Excellence consultation for Motiva’s Capital Projects Group at the Port Arthur Refinery, the largest in the US.

Working as a Senior Instructor for the Concord Academy, Andrew has helped provide AWP training and education to a new generation of construction professionals, sharing best practices and lessons learned from years of first-hand experience. 

Andrew has been involved in various AWP committees for COAA and CII and is the current co-chair of the CII Performance and Benchmarking Committee. He has recently joined the CII AWP Community of Business Advancement (CBA) leadership team to support the effort to provide direction for the future of AWP.

In his personal time, Andrew enjoys traveling the world and following all manner of English sports.
