Position Purpose

The O3 Solutions Engineer is responsible for driving expansion in accounts by regularly evaluating and developing a clear understanding of the customers’ existing environment, needs, challenges, requirements and opportunities for improvement. The Solutions Engineer will focus on providing value through identification of client pain points and required capabilities, facilitating technical evaluations, customized demos, proof of concepts, and pilots, presenting the best solution that aligns with the client’s need and requirements.

The Solutions Engineer is an integral member of the O3 Sales organization supporting both the internal Sales team and external clients to prove value and drive positive business outcomes.

  • Conduct discovery calls with prospects to understand their challenges and software needs 
  • Assist sales representatives by creating practical demonstrations of solutions and features with messaging highlighting benefits and value
  • Strategize with the sales team to create compelling sales presentations based on prospect needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospects and new clients to gather product feedback and enhancement requests
  • Support the sales team with all technical related queries
  • Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved
  • Collect frequently asked questions and create content to support educational materials
  • Work alongside the product development team to successfully monitor progress and implementation of new initiatives with Sales, Marketing, & Client Success
  • Account for potential implementation challenges or constraints and proactively seek to mitigate any risks
  • Coordinate with Marketing & Client Success Teams to support any technical messaging or product demonstrations needed to respond to information requests from prospects and clients

Knowledge & Experience

    • Minimum of five years (5) of experience in the Energy, Resources and Industrial (ER&I) and/or AEC industry  
    • Technical product knowledge of project management solutions, building information modeling (BIM), virtual design and construction (VDC), and the OG&C industry with understanding of SaaS technology 
    • Proven track record with hands-on experience with live and virtual product demonstrations 
    • Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and self-motivated with excellent customer service skills, strong business acumen, and creative problem-solving skills 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills 
    • Knowledge of MS Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint) 
    • Fluent English language skills, other languages a plus  

Travel Requirements

  • Moderate travel may be required both domestic and international.
