O3 Solutions: Tips & Tricks January 2021

O3, as a SaaS platform, has a new release every two weeks. Here’s a few of our latest tips and tricks that we’ve found our superusers using the most and finding the most helpful. Take a look and shoot us any questions you may have at info@o3.solutions.

  • You can Watch items (eyeball icon) to receive automatic notifications when something changes on that item.
  • Create a folder in your Outlook or Mail app called O3 Alerts and create a rule. This way, you can easily group all alerts from O3 in a single place.
  • Don’t recreate the data analytics wheel – use dashboard templates!
  • You can resize columns in any grid view via click & drag.
  • You can schedule routine exports of your favorite data grids in O3.
  • Dragging a field name above a data grid allows you to group data by that field.
  • You can delete entities and clear fields in O3 via import, as opposed to doing this manually line-by-line.
  • You can log into O3 with the same user in more than one browser tab. This is especially helpful while in self paced training. You can have the videos open in one tab and practice the activities in another.
  • When adding new resources to an IWP, you may need to refresh the screen to see the items.
  • If you see item names (such as documents or work packages) in blue text, they are hyperlinks to those packages in O3.
  • The O3 Help center (accessed by clicking the (?) or the little person icon will open up in a separate browser tab from the O3 application.
  • You can create a hyperlink to any screen in O3 by copying the URL in your browser while viewing the screen
  • When associating Permits, Safety Documents, Quality Documents, RFIs, or Interfaces to an IWP, make sure to do so under the Documents Tab, not under Associations.
